In this day and age, we call all sorts of people heroes. Movie stars, sports figures, rock bands, etc. But there was a time when REAL heroes walked among us. One of these people was a short, thin farmer named Desmond Doss. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served in the medical corp. And he never fired a gun. He didn't even carry one. But he was instrumental in saving the lives of well over 100-men.

Cpl. Desmond Doss, 1919-2006.
